Guest Speakers in The Spotlight at The Summit

Next in the spotlight at The Summit, we have Elizabeth Doherty. Elizabeth has 30 years of experience in education as a teacher, guidance counsellor and coach to both young people and adults. She has committed her career to empowering people and equipping them with the knowledge and skills to move to the next stage in their lives. She has explored and used many modalities in counselling and coaching but stumbled upon Nia at a retreat in 2018 and a new door opened to the world of somatics, the missing piece in her own personal life and her counselling approach. Nia is a holistic fitness practice combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness. Nia works with the intelligent design of the body, building flexibility, mobility, agility, stability and strength.
Discovering Nia and Elizabethโs own personal transformations have led her to further explore the body-mind-spirit connection and to studying Compassionate Inquiry, a trauma informed approach led by Gabor Mate. At the Summit, Elizabeth plans to blend her wealth of experience and the revolutionary pleasure-based fitness modality of Nia to help us all feel more empowered and joyful. ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ป๐๐ผ
